SEI Electronics manufactures resistive components, such as thick and thin film surface mount resistors, current sense resistors, axial leaded and wirewound resistors, inductors, varistors, and power resistors. SEI Electronics is a privately held company which began manufacturing resistors in 1928 as part of Stackpole Components Company. Among SEI’s product line include tight tolerance and tight temperature coefficient (TCR) resistors and arrays. 

SEI Resistors

A resistor is a passive component with two-terminals that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. Resistors reduce current flow, adjust signal levels, divide voltages, bias active elements, terminate transmission lines, and more. 

SEI Electronics offers various types of resistors, like high power and fixed resistors. High-power resistors can dissipate many watts of electrical power as heat may be used as part of motor controls, in power distribution systems, or as test loads for generators. On the other hand, fixed resistors have resistances that are affected very little by temperature, time, or voltage. Variable resistors can be used to adjust circuit elements (like volume or lamp dimmers), or as sensing devices for heat, light, humidity, force, or chemical activity.

Other resistor types offered by SEI Electronics include, flameproof, fusing, anti-surge/pulse withstanding, anti-sulfur, networks, and dividers.
