DAVICOM Semiconductor, Inc. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the design, development, manufacture and distribution of chipsets. The Company primarily provides local area network (LAN) chipsets, including modem chipsets, LAN controllers, integrated services digital network (ISDN) modem chipsets, cable modem chipsets, video decoder chipsets and controller chipsets, as well as related technology services. The Company’s products are mainly applied in the manufacture of network cards, hubs and switches, among others. The Company distributes its products in domestic and overseas markets.

In 1989, United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC), one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in Taiwan, set up the Communication Product Division to develop Networking products.

Later in May of 1996, with UMC Communication team and American networking experts, DAVICOM Semiconductor Inc. was founded. Today DAVICOM has already developed over 20 digital & analog products and applied for 14 IPs, and has successfully become one of the leading IC design houses in Taiwan.
