Ametherm Launches Industry-First 277 V Thermistor for LED Lighting, PFC, and Power Supply Applications

Ametherm released a new UL-approved circuit protection thermistor that is the industry’s first to offer a 277 V rating optimized for applications including LED lighting and ballasts, power factor correction (PFC) circuits, and inrush current control in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) with ratings under 500 W.

The SL10 10003 thermistor is the simplest and most cost-effective way to limit inrush current in LED driver and ballast circuits, as well as in PFC circuits. It’s a unique made-in-USA, UL-approved way for designers to get the 277V headroom they need for more reliable LED lighting circuitry and for power supplies with ratings under 500W.

The SL10 10003 thermistor is available through IBS Electronics, Ametherm authorized distributor. Samples and production quantities of the SL10 10003 are available now, with factory lead times of four to five weeks.
