Ametherm
Ametherm, established in 1994, manufactures rugged Inrush Current Limiting Thermistors and NTC Thermistors for temperature compensation and control. Ametherm plant is located in Carson City, Nevada USA is equipped to process raw materials such as manganese, copper, cobalt and, nickel into the substrate materials that protect power supplies, AC motors, and audio amplifiers all over the world. Ametherm has manufacturing facility in Carson City, Nevada.
Since 1994, Ametherm has provided the most reliable and effective inrush current limiting solutions available. Ametherm delivers through innovative design, quality. Thermistors are used in temperature compensation, voltage regulations, circuit protection, and time delay and volume control. These make them highly versatile electronic components.
There are two types of thermistors: NTC (negative temperature coefficient) and PTC (positive temperature coefficient). NTC thermistors are mostly used for temperature sensing purposes while PTC thermistors are used to control electric current.
Ametherm manufactures NTC and PTC thermistors with exceptional customer support.
Ametherm SURGE-GARD Inrush Current Limiters
Ametherm SURGE-GARD Inrush Current Limiting devices are manufactured using specially formulated metal oxide ceramic materials. SURGE-GARD devices are capable of suppressing high inrush current surges. These Ametherm inrush current limiters are especially useful in power supplies where the low impedance of the charging capacitor exposes the diode bridge rectifier to an excessively high current surge at turn-on.
Ametherm NTC Disc Thermistors
Ametherm NTC Disc Thermistors are thermally sensitive semiconductor resistors which decrease in resistance as absolute temperature increases. Resistance values range from 1.0Ω to 500KΩ. The series is suited to a wide range of resistance values and temperature coefficients. Typical applications for the NTC Disc Thermistors from Ametherm include temperature compensation, temperature measurement, fan motor control, and temperature sensors.
